Milky Way, erupting from Mount Saint Helens. This image is the composite of two images (sky and landscape). The milky way really did appear in this orientation over Mount Saint Helens. A four minute exposure was made of the sky, to bring out the vast number of stars. A tracking system was used to counter earth's rotation during this exposure time.
